Duler Stadium was initially a nautral grass football ground, but it required heavy maintenance cost to maintain the ground in playing condition for hosting I-League and other professional football matches.
Goa Football Association decided to opt for our renowned artificial grass football turf. Intensive laboratory test were carried out by Mr Grant Humphries of the Australian company who carry our the FIFA certification test.
Duler ground artificial football turf is awarded FIFA 2 star rating and it hosts the I-league matches played in Goa.
For a brief period of time Duler artificial turf also played host to teams from Kolkata and other cities thanks to the outstanding quality turf !
